Item No: 8B <br />M6U-NDS � CEW Meeting Date: March 26, 2018 <br />�/1 Type of Business: Council Business <br />Administrator review: <br />City of Mounds View Staffor— <br />Re ort <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Rayla Sue Ewald, Human Resources Coordinator <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution 8931, Approving Hiring of James Holman to the <br />position of Engineering Technician <br />Background <br />Resolution 8867 passed on December 11, 2017, which approved the hiring of an <br />Engineering Technician. <br />Discussion <br />A posting based on the job description was published for 10 working days on the City's <br />Web Site, the League of Minnesota Cities, indeed.com, and the American Public Works <br />Association (APWA). Thirty-eight (38) applications were received by the deadline. The <br />applications were scored with five (5) individuals being interviewed. <br />Recommendation <br />The panel is recommending the Council appoint Mr. James Holman to the position of <br />Engineering Technician starting on or about April 2, 2018.
