The Draft Plan is to be submitted to neighboring <br />jurisdictions for a six-month review period (e.g. June 29, 2018), prior to the City Council <br />submitting the final plan to the Metropolitan Council by December 31, 2018 for their review. <br />Due to time constraints of Staff, Staff is requesting the City Council's consent to requesting an <br />extension from the Metropolitan Council. This extension will allow Staff time to work on <br />current projects, and to continue to work on the Comprehensive Plan as time allows. <br />In order for an extension to be granted, the Metropolitan Council requires a formal request <br />accompanied by a resolution. Approval of a resolution will be requested at the April 9th City <br />Council meeting. <br />Recommendation: <br />No action is required at this time.
