RESOLUTION NO. 8940 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN <br />THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW AND THE PUBLIC WORKS COLLECTIVE <br />BARGAINING UNIT REGARDING THE ADDITION OF A LEAD PARKS WORKER, <br />LEAD STREETS WORKER, AND PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE WORKER — <br />FORESTER, AND BOUND NEW HIRES WITHIN THE PUBLIC WORKS UNION TO <br />THE TERMS OF THE LABOR AGREEMENT <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has recently promoted two employees to <br />Lead positions within the Public Works Department; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City has posted for the position of Public Works Maintenance <br />Worker — Forester and will be conducting interviews for this position during April, 2018; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, the existing labor agreement with the Public Works Bargaining Unit <br />does not presently include job positions of Lead Parks Worker, Lead Streets Worker, or <br />Public Works Maintenance Worker — Forester, necessitating the creation of a <br />Memorandum of Understanding; and, <br />WHEREAS, the existing labor agreement with the Public Works Bargaining Unit <br />had signatures of all active employees as of August 3, 2017 and does not include all <br />current or future employees. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mounds View City Council <br />approves the attached Memorandum of Understanding adding language relating to the <br />addition of a Lead Parks Worker, Lead Streets Worker, Public Works Maintenance <br />Worker — Forester; and, <br />THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT new hires into the Public <br />Works Union group who have not signed the January 1, 2017 — December 31, 2019 <br />Labor Agreement be bound by the current agreement. <br />Adopted this 9t" day of April, 2018. <br />Carol A.
