Item No:8F <br />Meeting Date: May 14, 2018 <br />MOUNDS VIEW Type of Business: Council Business <br />Administrator Review: <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Don Peterson, Public Works Director <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution 8956, Authorizing Stantec Consulting Services To <br />Complete a Drainage Subdistrict Analysis at 2255 Lambert Ave <br />Background/Discussion: <br />The City Council had approved resolutions for stormwater improvement work at 2255 Lambert <br />Avenue at the June 27, 2016, and the October 24, 2016 Council meetings. The work performed <br />included removal of the existing open ditch for stormwater that ran through the property and <br />placed hard piping for the storm water in the Right of Way and on the side of the property. <br />The work performed in the past did not take into account the area drainage of stormwater from <br />neighboring properties. The Current owner at 2255 Lambert has met with several City Staff <br />members and with two Council members in order to resolve the current situation. <br />Staff presented to the Council that a drainage study is required and that with the current situation <br />and miss communications that occurred in the past, the City would provide this survey. The City <br />Council conquered with Staff. <br />Staff has received a proposal from Stantec Consulting Services to perform an area drainage <br />analysis for the properties around 2255 Lambert Ave. The proposed estimate is $9,000.00 which <br />and includes the following five (5) tasks: <br />1) Data Collection <br />2) Site Survey <br />3) Stormwater analysis <br />4) Summery and Technical memo <br />5) Verification of site survey <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends that Council accept the proposal from Stantec Consulting Services to perform <br />a drainage subdistrict analysis for the property at 2255 Lambert Avenue at a cost of $9,000.00. <br />Funding from the Storm Water account, 745-4415-3030. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />n Peterson, Public Works Director <br />
