MouNns VtEw <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />I[DPI] Item No.: 81 <br />Meeting Date: May 29, 2018 <br />Type of Business: CB <br />Administrator Review: <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Don Peterson, Director of Public Works <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution 8975 Approving Future Maintenance of New Trail on <br />Long Lake Road in Coordination of Road Improvements by <br />Ramsey County <br />Introduction / �Discussion�[DP2]: <br />Ramsey County will be performing road maintenance on Long Lake Road from County Road <br />H2 to County Road J. The road maintenance will consist of milling the current pavement to a <br />depth of 2 inches and re -surface with new asphalt. <br />The County will be placing a new trail segment on the North side of Long Lake Road from <br />Eastwood Road to County Road J. <br />Ramsey County is requesting that the City Council approve, with a resolution, future maintenance <br />responsibilities. Maintenance includes, but not limited to: <br />1) Snow removal <br />2) Pavement maintenance <br />3) Bituminous patching <br />4) Surface maintenance <br />5) Tree trimming <br />6) Grass and lawn maintenance next to the trail. <br />Recommendation: <br />Ramsey County is seeking Council's support with a Resolution future maintenance of the trail <br />section on Long Lake Road from Eastwood Road to County Road J. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Don Peterson, Public Works Director <br />
