Ms. Ceimak commented <br />4 only beer would be sold at the street dance and Festival. She reported soda would also be sold at <br />5 the events. <br />6 <br />7 Mayor Mueller asked what the hours of operation would be for the beer garden and asked how <br />8 people would be carded before service. , Ole Piper Inn, explained people <br />9 would be carded at the gate and would be given a wrist band if over the age of 21. She noted two <br />10 people would be serving. She indicated the beer garden would be open on August 17th from 5:00 <br />11 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and on August 18th from 12:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. <br />12 <br />13 Mayor Mueller questioned if families could be in the beer garden. Ms. <br />14 commented families with children would be allowed in the beer garden. <br />15 <br />16 Ms. Cermak discussed the location of the beer garden and noted the street dance would be moved <br />17 into the Community Center if there was inclement weather. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8950, <br />Temporary Liquor License for Festival in the Park to allow Ole Piper Inn to Sell and Distribute <br />On -Sale Intoxicating Liquor at the Mounds View Festival in the Park on Friday, August 17 and <br />Saturday, August 18, 2018. <br />Ayes — 5 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />B. Second Reading and Summary Publication of Ordinance 945, Amending <br />Chapter 600 of the Municipal Code, Section 605. <br />34 Public Works Director Peterson requested the Council adopt Ordinance 945 amending Chapter <br />35 600 of the municipal code which addresses shade trees and pest control. He reported once this <br />36 item was approved by the City Council it would be published on June 1St <br />37 <br />38 Mayor Mueller asked if a Public Hearing was required for this Ordinance. City Administrator <br />39 Zikmund reported a Public Hearing was not required for this type of City Code amendment. <br />40 <br />41 Mayor Mueller requested further information on how the City would remove a tree on private <br />42 property. Public Works Director Peterson discussed the process that would be followed by the <br />43 City. He explained elm could be removed immediately, but noted oak and ash were removed <br />44 after the first hard frost and the expense was assessed to the property owner. It was noted the tree <br />45 removal included the expense for stump grinding. <br />
