Mounds View City Council December 12, 2016 <br />Regular Meeting Page 3 <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated the preliminary tax statements from Ramsey County would 1 <br />have higher tax amounts than the City was proposing to levy. He anticipated Mounds View 2 <br />residents would see a slight decrease in their portion of City taxes when the final tax statement 3 <br />was sent out in March 2017. 4 <br /> 5 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 6 <br /> 7 <br />4. Resolution 8676, Adopting the 2017 Budgets for All Funds. 8 <br /> 9 <br />Finance Director Beer requested the Council hold a Public Hearing and take comment from the 10 <br />public regarding the 2017 budgets for all funds. He reviewed the budget in detail with the 11 <br />Council and recommended approval. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Mayor Flaherty opened the public hearing at 7:13 p.m. 14 <br /> 15 <br />Hearing no public input, Mayor Flaherty closed the public hearing at 7:13 p.m. 16 <br /> 17 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Hull/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8676, 18 <br />Adopting the 2017 Budgets for All Funds. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Mayor Flaherty explained the Council has been working on the budget since June. He thanked 21 <br />staff and the Council for all of their efforts. 22 <br /> 23 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 24 <br /> 25 <br />B. 7:00 p.m. Public Hearing – Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance 928, 26 <br />Approving Planning and Development Fees (ROLL CALL VOTE). 27 <br /> 28 <br />City Administrator Ericson requested the Council hold a second reading and adopt Ordinance 29 <br />928 approving updated planning and development fees. He explained State Statute required 30 <br />these fees to be approved by Ordinance. The two changes within the subdivision portion of the 31 <br />planning and development fees was discussed with the Council and staff recommended approval 32 <br />of the Ordinance. 33 <br /> 34 <br />Mayor Flaherty opened the public hearing at 7:16 p.m. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Hearing no public input, Mayor Flaherty closed the public hearing at 7:16 p.m. 37 <br /> 38 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Mueller. To Waive the Second Reading and Adopt Ordinance 928, 39 <br />Approving Planning and Development Fees. 40 <br /> 41 <br />Council Member Mueller reported a printed copy of the Ordinance would be available at City 42 <br />Hall for review, along with being posted on the City’s website. 43 <br /> 44 <br />ROLL CALL: Gunn/Hull/Meehlhause/Mueller/ Flaherty. 45
