Item No. 1. <br />Meeting Date: March 6, 2017 <br />Type of Business: Work Session <br />City Administrator Review: ______ <br /> <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Brian Erickson, P.E., Director of Public Works /City Engineer <br />Item Title/Subject: City Hall Park Master Plan <br /> <br />Introduction <br />At the September 6, 2016 City Council Work Session, the Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission <br />provided an update to the City Council on their progress with the City Hall Park Master Plan. Commission <br />members will be providing an update to the master plan detailing the progress that has been made and <br />seeking further guidance and feedback regarding the plan. <br /> <br />Discussion <br />Since the last meeting with the Council, the Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission (the Commission) <br />has been working to review the phasing and costs for the master plan. The Commission will be presenting an <br />updated phasing and cost plan for the Council review and be seeking additional guidance regarding the <br />location, phasing and cost of the master plan. In particular, the Commission is seeking guidance on scale of <br />the splash pad, picnic area and playground, water management systems and other possible amenities that <br />could or should be added.
