<br />Rezoning Report - 2408 County Road I <br />January 11, 2016 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the City Council open the scheduled Public Hearing and consider <br />testimony from residents and the property owner. Based on the recommendation made by <br />the Planning Commission, staff has drafted Ordinance 912, an ordinance approving the <br />rezoning of the property located at 2408 County Road I from B-1, Neighborhood Business, <br />to B-2, Limited Business, incorporating findings of fact in support of the rezoning action <br />such that the rezoning would not be inconsistent with the Comprehensive Plan, would not <br />depreciate the neighborhood, would not be out of character for the area, would serve a <br />demonstrated need, and that the uses would not be inappropriate for the location. <br />Because rezonings are approved by ordinance, a second reading would be scheduled for <br />January 25, 2016 for final approval. <br /> <br />If the City Council does not believe that that rezoning is appropriate or that it fails to satisfy <br />the criteria as noted, Ordinance 912 can be denied so long as findings of fact are <br />addressed in support of the denial. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />________________________ <br />James Ericson <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />Attachments: <br /> <br />1.
