RESOLUTION NO. 8508 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING THE HIRING OF DANIEL STONE TO THE POSITION OF POLICE <br />OFFICER <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the establishment of an eligibility list for <br />the position of Police Officer for a current vacancy in the Police Department, and the <br />Police Civil Service Commission has approved the procedures for establishing an eligibility <br />register to fill this vacancy, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the approved hiring procedures consist of an application, a <br />supplemental application questionnaire and score sheet, training and experience scoring, <br />two rounds of oral interviews, physical agility testing, a thorough background investigation, <br />physical examination and a psychological examination and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Civil Service Commission has certified the eligibility list for the <br />opening, with Daniel Stone selected as the top candidate on the eligibility register, and his <br />background investigation, medical, psychological, and physical agility testing have all been <br />successfully completed, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff of the Police Department has met with Daniel Stone, and the Chief <br />of Police recommends he be appointed to the position of Police Officer. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota does hereby appoint Daniel Stone to the position of <br />police officer effective February 1, 2016 at the step one rate of pay ($22.63/hr) as indicated <br />in the Law Enforcement Labor Services contract. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 25TH day of January, 2016. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: ____________________________________ <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />(seal) <br /> <br />
