RESOLUTION NO. 8729 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE <br />2016 MOUNDS VIEW CITIZENS OF THE YEAR AWARD <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Mounds View Citizen of the Year Award recognizes ordinary citizens <br />who have demonstrated initiative to improving the community, whose service or performance <br />exemplifies the spirit of giving back and who inspire others in their volunteer efforts.; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, nominations were solicited from the public and were reviewed by the City <br />Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Virgil Beyer was selected and meets the criteria outlined in the policy; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Virgil Beyer of Mounds View, have exemplified the courage and <br />determination to follow their values; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Virgil Beyer has demonstrated drive and initiative in their approach to <br />citizenship and have worked steadfastly with various community groups and organizations; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Virgil Beyer volunteered a significant amount of time and energy to further <br />community causes and issues; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, his efforts have generated positive results for the community; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Virgil Beyer has contributed his efforts unselfishly, not expecting anything <br />in return. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council does <br />hereby present the 2016 Mounds View Citizens of the Year to Virgil Beyer, in sincere gratitude <br />and appreciation for his efforts as a Mounds View resident. <br /> <br />Adopted this 13th day of March, 2017. <br /> <br /> <br />______________________________ <br />Carol A.
