RESOLUTION 8546 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING BIDDING DOCUMENTS AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br />FOR 2016 SANITARY SEWER REHABILITATION PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the municipal sanitary sewer system contains approximately 45 miles of <br />trunk sewer that was predominately constructed during the 1960’s and early 1970’s using clay <br />pipe; and <br />WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has an inspection and maintenance program <br />that prioritizes sanitary sewer pipe segments as candidates f or slip lining; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Works has prepared bidding documents in house for public bidding <br />to construct slip lining of the sanitary sewer pipe. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. The bidding documents prepared by Public Works for construction of the 2016 Sanitary <br />Sewer Slip Lining Project (City Project No. 2016-C04) are hereby approved. <br />2. City staff is hereby directed to cause to be published in the Sun-Focus newspaper and the <br />online bid management system Quest Construction Data Network, at least 10 days before <br />the last day to submit bids, a notice to bidders for the implementation of said project as <br />required by law. <br />3. The time and date for receipt of public bids for said project is hereby established as 2:00 <br />p.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud in <br />the Council Chambers of the Mounds View City Hall. <br />4. The Director of Public Works is authorized to make approvals related to any amendments to <br />Bidding Documents, including changes in the time and date bids are due, on behalf of the <br />City. <br />5. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all <br />appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this Resolution. <br />6.
