RESOLUTION 8563 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVE A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT WITH TWIN CITY ROOFING FOR CITY HALL PARK <br />CANOPY ROOF REPLACEMENT PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City established a roof management program for all municipal buildings, and <br />park facilities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the roofing at the 3 canopies at City Hall Park are deteriorating and are in need <br />of replacement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Public Works prepared contract documents in-house for the repair work in <br />accordance with industry standards, and solicited and received 2 quotes as follows: <br /> <br />Rank Contractor Quote <br />Low Twin City Roofing $7,285 <br />2 Coty Construction $9,868 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Twin City Roofing of Saint Paul, Minnesota submitted the lowest quote in the <br />amount of $7,285; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City staff recommend approving a construction contract with Twin City Roofing <br />to perform the Roof replacement work. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> <br />1. The City hereby accepts the total combined quote proposal for $7,285 submitted by Twin <br />City Roofing of Saint Paul, Minnesota for the City Hall Park Canopy Roof Replacement <br />Project (City Project No. 2016-C05). <br />2. City Staff is authorized to prepare a construction contract agreement between the City of <br />Mounds View and Contractor for $7,285. <br />3. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed, for and on behalf <br />of the City, to execute and enter into a construction contract agreement with Twin City <br />Roofing for said project for said price. <br />4. Funding for the Project shall be funded by the Park Dedication Fund (451-4470-7050).
