Denial if Fees are not Paid & the City Council denies the license <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 8568 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Approving an On-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License <br />for Moe’s Located at 2400 County Road 10 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Moe’s, submitted all required City and State Liquor license application <br />materials on Wednesday, May 11, 2016; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, deadline for submitting application materials and fees was on April 29, <br />2016; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with the 2016 Fee Schedule all licenses are subject to a <br />20% late fee if the City does not receive the required application materials and fees by the <br />deadline; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, all City of Mounds View business licenses must be approved by the City <br />Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff has reviewed all application materials; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance to the Mounds View City Code, Chapter 502, Subdivision <br />2(a), no intoxicating liquor or wine license shall be granted for operation on any premises <br />on which taxes, assessments, utility bills or other financial claims of the City are delinquent <br />or unpaid; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Moe’s, located at 2400 County Road 10 has unpaid late fees due to <br />a delinquent utility bill and late submission of their liquor license, and therefore, are not <br />eligible for an On-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council does <br />hereby deny an On-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License to Moe’s, in accordance with Chapter <br />502, subdivision 2(a) of the Mounds View City Code. <br /> <br /> Adopted this 23rd day of May, 2016. <br /> <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> <br />(seal)
