In light of the <br /> responsibilities involved, as well as the market salary for comparable positions in other cities, <br /> this change is in the best interest of the organization and the City. <br /> The Assistant to the City Administrator position is pointed at 384, and currently has a range of <br /> $37,080 - $46,350. It is my recommendation that the points for the position be raised to that of <br /> 588, with a range of$53,236-$66,546. This seems reasonable not only in light of the duties <br /> involved in the position, the comparable points, the salary ranges for the same position in other <br /> cities and also the tax capacity information that was previously provided to the City Council. <br /> This position would be three years to maximum with the following monthly steps: <br /> Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Step 5 <br /> 4,436.42 4713.69 4990.97 5268.24 5545.52 <br /> Attached is the revised job description.
