I have
discussed the answers with my husband and hopefully are of some help in the
decision making of our most beautiful street. I want to be honest with you, it
is actually all right with me that the road is not in the best shape it has ever
been in, and receiving your letter made me decide that it is finally time to let
you know that our street has become a race track. The one thing that keeps
people from speeding even more than they do already are the holes and
bumps. It came to my attention already a few years ago that a lot of people in
trucks and cars use our beautiful street as a short cut. They turn in from Hwy.
10 and race down Spring Lake Park Road to get to the intersection on County
Road J were there is a stop sign, these drivers than turn left to return to Hwy.
65. All this to save a few minutes and to avoid the heavy traffic on 65. I
would like to see slower traffic and or fewer cars on our street. I already
talked to the neighbors and they as well as myself would like to see two (2)
additional stop signs on this road. Since the street will be done soon it is my
hope to fmd one of the signs at the corner of Spring Lake Road and 84th
Ave., as well the corners of Spring Lake Road and Ardan Ave.. By adding
these signs it will reduce the chances of speeding and due to frequent stops
maybe even the heavy through traffic, especially during the evening rush
