Hay Points <br /> There are many compensation plans that are used throughout the metro area. Labor Relations ! <br /> indicated that there are a few Cities that have similar positions that also use HAY: <br /> Lino Lakes - 677 points (46,700- 60,600) <br /> Cottage Grove -479 points ($50,600 - $63,200) <br /> Comparing these points to the City of Mounds View, 677 points has a range of$53, 108.45 - <br /> $66,385 (our Finance Director position) <br /> Our closest point value to 479 in Mounds View is either 426, which is our Lieutenant position <br /> $48,599-60,749, or our Community Development Director at 588 ($53,236-$66,546). <br /> Labor Relations also indicated that the MAUMA benchmark for the comparable position is 588. <br /> Recommendation <br /> The Assistant to the City Administrator position is pointed at 384, and currently has a range of <br /> $37,080 - $46,350. It is my recommendation that the points for the position be raised to that of <br /> 588, with a range of$53,236-$66,546. This seems reasonable not only in light of the duties <br /> involved in the position,the comparable points,the salary ranges for the same position in other <br /> cities,but also with tax capacity data that was given. (The City of Robbinsdale has a higher tax <br /> capacity, and has an Assistant City Manager at a range of$57,300-66,400) <br /> tI <br />
