PERIPHERAL DUTIES <br /> 4 • Assists the City Clerk in all aspects of election procedures and administration. <br /> • Performs copying, photography,printing, collating, and bindery operations. <br /> • Coordinates travel plans for department and Council. <br /> • Serves as backup cashier including receipting of various payments and posting monies to <br /> appropriate accounts. <br /> • Coordinates activities with recording secretary as necessary. <br /> • Other duties as assigned. <br /> DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS <br /> Education and Experience: <br /> (A) Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent with specialized course work in <br /> general office practices such as typing, filing, accounting and bookkeeping, and <br /> (B) Two (2)years of increasingly responsible related experience, or any equivalent <br /> combination of related education and experience. <br /> © Two (2) years of building and office maintenance experience required. Either through <br /> administrative experience or technical training. <br /> (D) Working knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment. <br /> Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: <br /> (A) Proficient in the usage of work processing software,typing speed of 60 wpm, working <br /> knowledge of computers and data processing; working knowledge of modern office <br /> practices and procedures. <br /> (B) Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment. <br /> ( C) Ability to perform cashier duties accurately; ability to effectively meet and deal with the <br /> public; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to handle <br /> stressful situations. <br /> TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED <br /> Phone switchboard; mainframe computer terminal; personal computer including word processing <br /> software; copy machine; postage machine; fax machine; base radio; calculator. <br /> PHYSICAL DEMANDS <br /> The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an <br /> employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
