[15. 433] [LIMITS ON GOVERNMENT PURCHASE OF <br /> 4 AIRPLANE TICKETS. ] <br /> 5 Public funds must not be used to purchase, or reimburse <br /> 6 anyone for the purchase of, an airline ticket for a flight that <br /> 7 is scheduled to take off or land at an airport in the <br /> 8 metropolitan area, as defined in section 473 . 121, subdivision 2 , <br /> 9 between the hours of 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. , except in an <br /> 10 emergency. This section applies to the executive, legislative, <br /> ii and judicial branches of government, and to all political <br /> 12 subdivisions of the state. The public entity purchasing the <br /> 13 ticket shall determine whether there is an "emergency" for the <br /> 14 purposes of this section.
