In the interest of public participation, <br /> the Mayor and City Council have indicated that an ordinance change is in order to allow two <br /> additional members to participate on the Park and Recreation Commission. <br /> Municipal Code Chapter 405.02,Subd. 1, Park and Recreation Commission, Membership <br /> states: <br /> Subd. 1 1. Appointment of Members: The Commission shall consist of seven(7) <br /> members appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the majority of the <br /> Council. The Mayor, with the approval of the City Council, shall appoint a <br /> chairperson at the first regular meeting of the Council in January. ( 1988 Code <br /> 34.02) <br /> The proposed language change is as follows: <br /> Subd. 1 1.
