If the Council has any questions regarding <br /> this item, feel free to remove it from the Consent Agenda for further discussion or call me prior to <br /> the meeting. <br /> Discussion: <br /> The applicant in this case, Mr. Mackeben, is requesting that the Council approve an addition to <br /> his garage at 8011 Sunnyside Road. The existing garage is 720 square feet and Mr. Mackeben <br /> would like to add an additional 320 square feet to the back side of the garage for a work area/ <br /> hobby shop. All together, the garage after the expansion would be 1,040 square feet, which is <br /> well below the maximum allowed and less than the footprint of the house, which is approximately <br /> 1,400 square feet. The garage currently meets all setbacks, as would the addition. A site plan and <br /> location map are attached for your reference. <br /> This request will be heard by the Planning Commission at its meeting on September 15, 1999, at <br /> which time staff will be recommending approval of the CUP. <br /> Recommendation: <br /> Set the Public Hearing for 7:05 p.m., September 27, 1999, to consider Resolution 5366, a <br /> resolution contemplating the issuance of a conditional use permit for an over-sized garage at <br /> 8011 Sunnyside Road, as requested by Don Mackeben. <br /> James Ericson, Planning Associate <br />
