To accept the October 11, 1999 City Council minutes as <br /> corrected. <br /> Ayes—4 Nays—0 Motion carried. <br /> 5. SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS <br /> A. Presentation of Resolution of Commendation to Retired Firefighter Dan <br /> Yackel. <br /> Mayor Coughlin stated firefighter Dan Yackel retired from the Fire Department on August 3, <br /> 1999. During his years of service, Captain Yackel has responded to more than 3,000 fire calls, <br /> and attended over 680 weekly drills. He has received Awards of Merit for responding to the <br /> most fire calls at Fire Station 1, in 1984, 1985 and 1986, and has also received the Distinguished <br /> Service Award for Station 1 in 1986. <br />
