UNAPPROVEI3 <br /> EDA Page 3 <br /> Meeting No. 12 February 13, 1995 <br /> Commission on January 26, 1995 , the members unanimously <br /> 2 approved the 1995 Calendar of Regular Meetings , Work Plan and <br /> 3 Bylaws for the governance and direction of the Commission. <br /> 4 Regular EDC meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of every <br /> 5 month with the exception of November and December which are <br /> 6 scheduled for the third Thursdays due to holiday conflicts . <br /> 7 The Bylaws include minor revisions . <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Since the EDC only had four meetings in 1994, several of the <br /> 10 work plan items have been carried over for 1995 . <br /> 11 <br /> 12 Secretary Trude requested clarification on certain items of <br /> 13 the Bylaws. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 MOTION/SECOND: Hankner/Blanchard to Approve Economic <br /> 16 Development Commission 1995 Calendar, Bylaws , and Work Plan <br /> 17 <br /> 18 VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> 19 <br /> 20 C. Consideration of Resolution No. 95-EDA20 Approving the <br /> 21 Appointment of Phil Seipp as Economic Development Commission <br /> 22 Chairperson <br /> 23 <br /> Cathy Bennett, Economic Development Coordinator, reported that <br /> the Economic Development Commission is required to appoint a <br /> chairperson at the first regular meeting of the year. At the <br /> 27 January 26, 1995 meeting, the members unanimously elected Phil <br /> 28 Seipp, President and CEO of SYSCO Minnesota, as Chairperson of <br /> 29 the Commission. It is noted that Dan Nelson, a resident of <br /> 30 Mounds View, was elected as the Vice-Chair for 1995 . <br /> 31 <br /> 32 MOTION/SECOND: Hankner/Trude to Adopt Resolution No. 95-EDA20 <br /> 33 Approving Appointment of Phil Seipp Economic Development <br /> 34 Commission Chairperson <br /> 35 <br /> 36 VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> 37 <br /> 38 D. Consideration of Resolution No. 95-EDA22 Approving the Vision <br /> 39 Statement for Highway 10 Corridor in Mounds View <br /> 40 <br /> 41 Cathy Bennett explained that Ron Schmidt, a member of the EDC <br /> 42 and Highway 10 Subcommittee, presented a draft Vision <br /> 43 Statement for Mounds View' s Highway 10 Corridor at the Work <br /> 44 Session on February 6. The Vision Statement is the first step <br /> 45 in the long term planning for the redevelopment of Highway 10 . <br /> 46 <br /> 47 Developing a plan is in response to the Focus 2000 <br /> 48 recommendation to improve the aesthetics and accessibility of <br /> 49 Highway 10 . As a result, the EDC established a subcommittee <br /> to research and evaluate opportunities along Highway 10 . The <br /> subcommittee currently consists of three members of the EDC, <br /> a member of the Planning Commission and a member of the Parks <br /> 53 and Recreation Commission.
