11/ PROCEEDINGS OF THE MOUNDS VIEW <br /> ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br /> Meeting No.36 <br /> June 9, 1997 <br /> Mounds View City Hall <br /> 2401 Hwy. 10,Mounds View MN 55112 <br /> *********************************************************************************** <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> The Economic Development Authority was called to order by President McCarty on June 9, 1997 at 8:41 p.m. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT: Duane McCarty,Julie Trude,Gary Quick,Roger Stigney,Roger Koopmeiners, <br /> Director of Economic Development Cathy Bennett,Clerk Administrator Chuck Whiting,and City Attorney <br /> Bob Long. <br /> OTHERS PRESENT: None <br /> APPROVAL OF AGENDA: <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Trude/Quick to Approve the Agenda as presented. <br /> VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> • APPROVAL OF MINUTES: <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Trude/Stigney to approve the minutes of the EDA Meeting on May 12, 1997 as <br /> presented. <br /> VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> CONSENT AGENDA: <br /> There were no items on the Consent Agenda. <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br /> There were no Public Hearings scheduled for this meeting. <br /> EDA BUSINESS: <br /> A. Consideration of Approving an Agreement with the Fire Department for the Controlled Burning of <br /> the house at 8283 Long Lake Road. <br /> Ms.Bennett explained that the city is required to obtain asbestos samples of the home prior to demolition. <br /> There was the presence of asbestos in the floor tile of the home and although it is under the limit for removal <br /> prior to demolition,it is over the limit for burning and would require removal. The cost to have the asbestos <br /> removed would be such that Ms.Bennett feels the Council should not consider the controlled burning of the <br /> property and just move forward with demolition. <br /> • <br />
