RESOLUTION 97-EDA-70 • <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION APPOINTING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION MEMBER TO <br /> FILL VACANCY <br /> WHEREAS, the Economic Development Commission acts as an advisory <br /> commission to the Economic Development Authority on matters that relate to fostering a positive <br /> economic climate, encouraging economic development, and enhancing the tax base of the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Economic Development Commission is composed of three <br /> business representatives and four residents, and <br /> WHEREAS, per Chapter 408.06, subdivision 1 of the Mounds View <br /> Municipal Code entitled Economic Development Commission, Termination of Appointment, <br /> requires the "Authority President, with approval of a majority of the Authority Board of <br /> Commissioners, shall appoint a new member from applications received for the unfulfilled portion <br /> of a term that has been terminated", and <br /> WHEREAS, resident Bev Tarhark has given notification to the Commission <br /> Chairperson of her intentions for termination prior to the expiration of her term dated December <br /> 31, 1998, and <br /> WHEREAS, resident completed an application to fill the vacancy <br /> for a resident representative on the Economic Development Commission. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE iT RESOLVED that the Economic Development <br /> Authority of the City of Mounds View hereby appoints to the Economic Development <br /> Commission with term expiring December 31, 1998. <br /> Adopted this 25th day of August, 1997. <br /> ATTEST: President <br /> (SEAL) Executive Director <br /> • <br />
