At the City Council Work Session in October of 1997, the Council directed staff to discuss with developers the possibilities of developing the subject site with adjacent lots and to wait for a private proposal prior to proceeding further on the sale of the lot. Staff has been working with several developers regarding the development of the subject site. Interested developers are currently working to acquire adjacent lots so that a proposal for the creation of a t new development with additional lots may be submitted to the City. At this time,no proposals have been provided to the City. Staff continues to receive numerous requests from individuals regarding the purchase of the lot for the development of a single family home. Therefore, staff thought an update and review regarding the subject property was necessary to provide continued direction for the marketing and sale of the subject lot. ACTION TO BE CONSIDERED Provide staff direction for the following questions: 1) Should staff continue to market the lot to developers as a subdividable lot and wait for a private proposal prior to proceeding further on the sale of the lot. 2) Should staff market the lot for sale as a single family lot.
