I <br /> ONLY <br /> Management Meeting Minutes <br /> Wednesday,August 26, 1998 - 10:00 <br /> I. Department Reports <br /> Mike Ulrich reported that furniture for the Community Center was approved and that Ebert Construction will be <br /> renovating City Hall. Mike stated that there are concerns on the road design going through the theater project. The <br /> completion of the streets will be running past the original deadline. The theater project has been delayed to May. <br /> Anthony Properties is concerned about the theater being open before the signalization is complete. <br /> Cari Schmidt reported that two people have filed for City Council positions. Cari stated that she will conduct election <br /> judge training tonight and possibly Thursday night next week. The City's organizational staffing chart has been <br /> approved, but there are questions in regards to the Hay Study points. The City of Roseville will be hosting an ICMA <br /> Performance Measurement Consortium project meeting Tuesday, October 13. All department heads or a representative <br /> from each department should attend. <br /> John Hammerschmidt reported that the Bridges will be hosting the Bud Grant Perham Tournament on Sunday,August <br /> 30. John stated that he will schedule a meeting with the Golf Course Committee to go over the budget. Three of the <br /> employees have been trained on the defibulator. <br /> Police Chief Ramacher reported that the Police Department has new signage on the glass reception window. The Chief <br /> stated that it will be convenient having the Holiday Station open 24 hours and that the car wash is manned. The radar <br /> trailer will be posted by schools for the next few weeks. <br /> Bruce Kessel reported that the individual city credit cards have been distributed. Bruce asked that all purchase receipts <br /> are passed on to Marge and that any questions regarding the dollar limit of the cards he will take care of. Bruce stated <br /> that Jim Hess is putting the new accounting system on computers so individuals can look at their accounts. <br /> Mary Saarion reported that there will be a public hearing on Woodcrest in September.Jennifer Olson has captured a <br /> new position in sports medicine and will be moving on to Chicago. An ad for her position has been placed. September <br /> 23-27 Mary will be at a National Conference in Florida.Mary stated that the seasonal employees are returning to school. <br /> There is now an add in the white pages for the Community Center. <br /> Tracy Sanchez reported that the special ed students from last year will be returning to help out two hours in the <br /> afternoon each day. Tracy will be coordinating work schedules on a daily basis.Make sure to plan ahead and let her <br /> know. The proposals for the upgrades to the telephone system are currently under way to make sure the City is Y2K <br /> (year 2000)compliant. <br /> Rick Jopke reported that there are continued discussions on the Mermaid project. City Council has approved the rental <br /> agreement on the property along with a time table.Rick reported that Steve Dorgan is meeting with representatives for a <br /> home improvement fair for February of 1999. Rick stated that he was approached by the Salvation Army wanting two <br /> lots that they want the city to acquire from the county and place a 6-8 unit housing project. Rick has asked that they put <br /> this in writing and he will bring it to a council meeting.
