Design Development Cont. <br /> - Specification represents proposal of the products to be utilized. <br /> - Opinion of Probable Costs indicates best estimate of program costs. <br /> - Flannery Construction (CM) to provide price quotations for this project on or about <br /> December 30, 1997. <br /> - Approximate total cost = $4 million. <br /> - Phase 1 total cost = approximately $900,000 <br /> - Remaining cost to project is approximately $3.1 million. <br /> - Request for approval of the Design Development package today. <br /> - Next phase to be the Construction Document work. This phase scheduled for <br /> completion on or about February 2, 1998. <br /> - Color boards representing the interior and exterior color/material selections were also <br /> submitted. <br /> Review: <br /> - Drop off area to be sized for school bus turn around. <br /> - Early Childhood room to have carpet with pad. (1/2 area) <br /> - Marker board not required in Childhood room. <br /> - Marker boards required in the classrooms and conference rooms. <br /> - Wall between the storage room and conference room should be demountable wall, <br /> adjust door accordingly. <br /> - Wall between the conference room and office should be demountable wall, adjust door <br /> accordingly. <br /> - Exit doors to have panic hardware and keyed locks. Keying system to be BEST. <br /> - All doors can have small slit glass light. <br /> - Main doors to remain double doors. <br /> - The operable partitions in the classrooms should have locks. <br /> - Door 105A(classroom door) should be on magnetic hold open. <br /> - Coat hooks should be provide in the corridor for the Early Childhood room and the <br /> classrooms. <br /> - Phone system to be provided by tenant (Community Education). <br /> - The HVAC system can be two rooftop units that split the space into two zones. The <br /> classrooms and the parenting room are the most critical for comfort level. The <br /> classrooms are uses for about 5-6 hours during the day with about 15 students each, <br /> and again for a few hours of adult education at night. <br /> - Project is on schedule for bidding and construction to start in March 1998. <br /> Follow-up: <br /> - Flannery Construction and WAI/Continuum to review price quotations and prepare list <br /> of alternates. <br /> - Next phase of work (Construction Documents) to be completed approximately <br /> February 2, 1998. <br />
