INFORMATION <br /> ONLY <br /> Management Meeting Minutes <br /> Tuesday, June 23, 1998 - 10:00 <br /> I. Department Reports <br /> Mike Ulrich reported that he will proceed with the communications for the community center, <br /> including electric protection and rewiring at City Hall. They will also install climate controls at <br /> the community center. Mike stated that the city is proceeding with the realignment of Edgewood <br /> Drive. Mike will be meeting with the interior design person to request approval of selections of <br /> furniture and bleachers for the community center. The advertisement for crack sealing is out this <br /> week and they are accepting bids. <br /> Chief Ramacher reported that there have been a number of vandalism and theft reports at the <br /> Theater and Community Center construction sites. Pat Michna had a knee operation and will be <br /> out the rest of the week. The Police Department received four defibulators from Lion's club. <br /> One of them will be given to the Golf Course. There will be a one hour training session to <br /> operate the defibulators at a later date. Ramacher stated that the sound quality at the City Council <br /> meeting is very poor. As the meeting went on,the sound quality worsened and it was very hard <br /> to hear. <br /> Chuck Whiting stated that he would like all department heads to have their budgets into Bruce <br /> Kessel by the end of the week. Chuck asked Mary Saarion to bring to the Park and Recreation <br /> commission a recommendation of where to replace the youth's soccer field. Chuck stated that he <br /> would like to organize a dinner for all city boards, commissions and council members August 3. <br /> Mary Saarion reported that Pat Toth will be leaving on vacation for three weeks. Mary stated <br /> that programs are beginning this week and they are keeping everyone busy. <br /> Rick Jopke reported that they are putting together a final contract for the Highway 10 design <br /> theme. They will bring the contract to the July 6 Work Session. The theater project is on <br /> schedule for a November/December opening. The developer is waiting for signed agreements <br /> and once completed, they will issue permits to begin construction. <br /> Cari Schmidt reported that council voted to not renew Murzin's liquor license. The Council <br /> approved a cigar license for the Golf Course and they also approved the Public Works contract. <br /> Cari stated that the Hay points have been set and she is waiting for an overall point/wage <br /> evaluation to come back. Ramsey County has sent out election notification cards to all residents. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 11:45 a.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> graeg&urekez <br />
