51) <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 5250 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF GRANT AGREEMENT BY <br /> THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION UNDER THE <br /> HAZARDOUS MATERIALS EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS PROGRAM <br /> WHEREAS,the State of Minnesota has been given a grant by the U.S. Department of <br /> Transportation under the Hazardous Materials Emergency Preparedness (HMEP) Program; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Mounds View Emergency Management has applied in good faith <br /> for HMEP monies for a full-scale exercise; and <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,that the City of Mounds View fully agrees to <br /> the terms of the grant, and, with the passage of this resolution, officially requests the Division of <br /> Emergency Management to enforce the contract in accordance with the applicable rules and <br /> regulations; <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, THAT the Mounds View City Council approves <br /> to execute the agreement and thereby assume for an on behalf of the City of Mounds View all of <br /> the contractual obligations contained therein. <br /> Adopted this 13th day of July, 1998. <br /> Attest: Roger Koopmeiners,Acting Mayor <br /> (Seal) Charles S.Whiting,Clerk-Administrator <br />
