Signatures on the <br /> petition are currently be reviewed to ensure their validity. <br /> Associate Ericson told the Commission the City Attorney has given an opinion that states <br /> the issue does not meet the criteria for a valid petition in that Minnesota case law would <br /> hold that these types of actions, that is non-legislative actions, are not subject to initiative <br /> referendum; in addition to some problem with the construction of the petition itself. <br /> 9. Chairperson and Planning Commissioners' Reports <br /> There were no reports from the Chairperson or the Commissioners. <br /> 10.
