Mounds View Planning Commission April 15, 1998 <br /> Special Meeting Page 7 <br /> exceeds the allowed 864 sq. ft. <br /> Staff is recommending the approval of Planning Commission resolution No 541-98, a <br /> resolution recommending to the City Council approval of a Conditional Use Permit for <br /> Thomas Lammi, allowing a 1,246 sq. ft. oversized garage at 7858 Long Lake road, with <br /> stipulations. <br /> The stipulations were listed as follows: <br /> 1. The conditional use permit shall be recorded with Ramsey County within 60 days <br /> of City Council approval, and a receipt of such recording shall be provided to the <br /> City of Mounds View. <br /> 2. The garage shall be designed and maintained to provide a seamless and uniform <br /> building appearance with the existing garage and house. <br /> 3. The garage shall not be used for living space or other uses not allowed by the <br /> district in which it is located or by the Zoning Code. Should the use change for <br /> which the permit was granted,the conditional use permit shall become null and <br /> void. <br /> 4. No other sheds or accessory buildings shall be allowed on this lot. <br /> 5. There shall be no vehicle access door on the west elevation of the addition. <br /> Vehicle ingress/egress shall only be possible through the existing garage. <br /> 6. The applicant shall enter into a development agreement with the City to ensure a <br /> high quality of workmanship and timely completion of the development. <br /> Chairperson Peterson asked the applicant to make his presentation. <br /> Mr.Lammi told the Commission the addition would match the existing structure in all <br /> materials, including shingles. <br /> Commissioner Obert asked staff if stipulation No. 3 would protect the City from the <br /> applicant running a business out of the garage. <br /> Associate Ericson stated stipulation No. 3, would cover the possibility of the applicant <br /> using the garage for some type of business. <br /> Motion/Second: Brasaemle/Obert to approve resolution No. 541-98, a resolution recommending <br /> the City Council approve a Conditional Use Permit to allow an oversized garage for Thomas <br /> Lammi, 7858 Long Lake Road; Mounds View Planning Case No. 516-98, with stipulations. <br />
