L) <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 623 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> County of Ramsey <br /> State of Minnesota <br /> An Ordinance authorizing the City Council of the City of Mounds View <br /> to set water and waste water rates and surcharges effective with <br /> the January 1999 billings <br /> The City Council of the City of Mounds View does hereby ordain: <br /> SECTION I. <br /> The Mounds View City Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the City to <br /> insure sufficient funding to cover operations and debt service in the Water and Waste <br /> Water Funds. <br /> SECTION II. <br /> The Finance Director shall quarterly prepare a bill based on the rates established for each <br /> property class by Council and in accordance with existing Mounds View policy. <br /> Water rates shall be set at$1.45/1000 gallons water sold. A quarterly meter surcharge <br /> rate shall be set based on meter size as follows: <br /> Residential Meters <br /> 5/8" to 1" $ 3.00 <br /> Commercial Meters <br /> 1 inch $ 3.60 <br /> 1 %2 inch $ 6.00 <br /> 2 inch $ 7.40 <br /> 3 inch $19.00 <br /> 4 inch $31.50 <br /> Non-compliance to participate, including <br /> manual billing $25.00/quarter <br /> Customer's option for radio read and $15 /quarter plus <br /> onetime capital outlay charge $27.00 one time capital charge <br /> Waste Water rates shall be set at$47.00 per REC (Residential Equivalent Connection) <br /> per quarter. <br /> SECTION III. <br /> This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after the date of its publication, and be <br /> retroactive to any billing on or after January 1, 1999. <br />
