• MANAGEMENT MEETING MINUTES <br /> Wednesday,February 25, 1998 @ 10:00 AM <br /> I. Call to Order <br /> Meeting was called to order at 10:00 a.m. Present: Whiting, Ramacher,Jopke, Saarion, <br /> Kessel, Sanchez, Hammerschmidt, Ulrich, and Zikmund <br /> II. Department Reports -Jopke reported that a second Highway Design Theme meeting will <br /> be Thursday, February 26. Jopke stated that he has received 30 applications for the Economic <br /> Development Coordinator position. The department is in the process of drafting a T& E for the <br /> position. Saarion reported that she had attended a meeting with the school district asking for a <br /> proposal for grounds maintenance. Saarion stated that Jennifer, a new temporary will start <br /> March 19 and will work through the end of August. She will be administering summer youth and <br /> adult sports athletic programs. Saarion stated the Mounds View Community Theater wants to <br /> transfer funds to their account, and that boulevard tree trimming has began. Kessel reported that <br /> Donatelle's will be sold, the tentative date is March 15. Kessel reported Hay evaluations have <br /> been completed and that employees have until March 2 to appeal. Ramacher reported that Dave <br /> Brick is out this week with a bad knee. Ramacher reported that with the nice weather, graffiti <br /> has surfaced again. Ulrich reported that SEH is preparing a report on Barb Haake's memo. He <br /> stated that he will have a staff report asking questions for direction. Ulrich reported that he <br /> • attended a meeting with MNDOT,Anoka and Ramsey County discussing a stop light installation <br /> at Airport Road and County Road J. Ulrich stated he was not positive which part of the street is <br /> public, but is looking into this. Hammerschmidt reported that with the warm weather the golf <br /> course opened Sunday for the week. Hammerschmidt stated that the lawsuit is scheduled for <br /> November of 1998. Hammerschmidt scheduled the Golf Course Committee to meet March 4 at <br /> 4:00 p.m. Zikmund reported the Fire Department is looking for volunteers. He stated the Fire <br /> Department has sold another fire truck. Whiting reported that he has discontinued his <br /> membership with the Rotary because of time constraints and a$1200 a year membership. <br /> III. Unfinished Business -No Report <br /> IV. New Business -MIS Committee Policy and Printer Maintenance is tabled for next <br /> meeting. Part-time Pay Policies -Whiting stated that all departments need to have consistency <br /> in hiring part-time employees. Kessel will put together different rules and job categories list for <br /> department heads to follow. <br /> V.
