IDEAS AND PRACTICES COMMITTEE <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> March 11, 1998 <br /> 2:00 p.m. <br /> Present: Chair Hammerschmidt, Jarson, Dorgan, and Saarion. <br /> Three suggestions were read and discussed. <br /> 1. Suggestion was to look into the possibility of having bottled water available since the tap <br /> water. Committee thought this a good idea to pursue and John H will check into the costs <br /> and submit information to Tracy S. for consideration. <br /> 2. Suggestion was to look into the growth around the toilet and sink pipes of the men's <br /> downstairs bathroom. It was suggested that Tim Pittman have this looked into. <br /> 3. Concern was expressed about the condition of the downstairs kitchen. Saarion said that <br /> she would remove and throw away the icky rags. It was suggested that Dick the <br /> custodian be requested to check and clean the kitchen and add this into his task list. This <br /> to be discussed with Tracy S. It is presumed that staff mostly uses the staff lounge <br /> microwave and refrig or upstairs microwave and sink. However,the stove/oven in the <br /> community kitchen probably is used by staff. Otherwise, there should be no one using <br /> the kitchen except community groups which have the responsibility of cleaning up after <br /> themselves - and have clean-up money deposited to ensure that this occurs. <br /> 4. Suggestion that group listen and provide recommendation for the incoming City Hall line <br /> 717-4000. Committee listened to menu and agree that it was OK- suggestion to check <br /> into the option of getting to extension quicker by pressing letters of person's first three <br /> letters of last name.
