The firms that were interviewed included BRW, Inc.; Dahlgren,
Shardlow, and Uban, Inc.; State of Minnesota,Department of Administration; SRF Consulting and Sanders
Wacker Wehrman Bergly, Inc.
The majority of the proposals were very competitive regarding services offered and the price range for those
services. The EDC feels that community participation from the stakeholders in the area is very important as
410 ell as market analysis and a final product that can be used to attract developers for the desired uses.
After careful considerations and two mornings dedicated to the interviews, the EDC is recommending SRF Consulting
Group for a maximum cost of$25,000 to be taken from the tax increment fund that is set aside for the redevelopment
of Highway 10.
Attached is a copy of the RFP that was mailed to over 15 firms and the primary components of SRF's proposal.
Representatives from SRF will be in attendance to present their proposal. In addition, members of the EDC will be
available to answer questions.
The EDC would like their recommendation to be formally considered at the November 12, 1996 regular meeting so
that the 3-4 month study process can begin ASAP.
ft
Cathy Bennett, G.n.
