Chuck's Special Edition - This Is It!
Sorry I did not get my This Is It into the packet on Thursday, but things got a little hairy towards the
end of the day. With most items covered in my Council memos, I can give a brief update on other
things going on. First, Pam has gotten a meeting with Paster set up for Monday. Depending on how
it goes, I may ask to have it added to the agenda Monday evening, particularly if we need to pursue
the condemnation for the easement. On Tuesday, Cathy and I are meeting with Charlie Hall on his
project. He is anxious to get this off the ground, so here we go. Cathy is also continuing the work
with Everest. This is slow going, but perhaps something will come of it.
We have received many applications for Joyce's old job. I anticipate we will have the selection
narrowed down next week with interviews set up sometime thereafter.
Dawn is gearing up for the election on Tuesday. This will be a good practice warm-up for us. Other
staff is being assigned to assist and learn as well. While minor glitches always seem to occur, please
give your assessments of the day's operations and any problems or concerns you have or see to us
as soon as possible. We want to be right on with this thing.
This morning I am invited to the Cross of Glory church to see just how hard it will be for them to
sprinkler their building. The Council has also gotten invited to see at your leisure.
Otherwise, for a busy week, there is not much more to report. I am considering adding a Sports
Section to This Is It to keep everyone updated on football pools and fantasy football stats.
Considering I am last in both of the two leagues I am in, and was seen nowhere in the office pool
(Kitty's relatives abound there however), I may wait until I've got something positive to add. So
have a good weekend, and Vikes by 3 over Atlanta on Sunday.
