I <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SCHEDULING OF CERTAIN <br /> MEETINGS OF RESIDENTIAL GROUPS IN THE BEL RAE <br /> WHEREAS, numerous Mounds View groups have been approaching city <br /> staff and city council members requesting use of the Bel Rae for meetings that <br /> cannot be accommodated in any other city facility, and <br /> WHEREAS, the city currently has computer software to schedule use of city <br /> facilities, has policies requiring payment of key deposits and room deposits, and is <br /> familiar with the needs and risks associated with various residential groups who <br /> have used city facilities, and <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council to encourage civic use of <br /> the Bel Rae during the interim period in which planning for its renovation continues; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT city staff be allowed to <br /> schedule meetings of Mounds View residential groups such as homeowner and <br /> rental association meetings, neighborhood crime watch meetings and similar <br /> meetings of residents which cannot be accommodated in other city facilities, using <br /> existing policies for use of other city facilities, with the understanding that any such <br /> scheduled meetings could be canceled with a two-week notice if staff determines <br /> such meeting would interfere with plans for remodeling of the Bel Rae. <br /> Adopted this day of August, 1996. <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Mayor <br /> (SEAL): <br /> Clerk-Administrator <br />
