Page 3
If you make an offer to purchase this comparable dwelling and, after fair negotiations, cannot
purchase it for$106,000.00 or less, the probable selling price will be adjusted to reflect the actual
purchase price.
Based on the adjusted"comparable"price and the City's offer of$77,000.00 to purchase your project
site, you may be eligible for a differential replacement housing payment up to $29,000.00. If your
actual replacement home costs less than $106,000.00 your differential payment would be less based
on the actual difference of your replacement home purchase price.
If you should choose to rent(rather than purchase) a replacement home, let your Relocation Advisor
know. We will prepare a comparable rental housing analysis and provide you with rental replacement
housing referrals. Your Relocation Advisor will also explain your eligibility for replacement housing
rental assistance benefits.
When you met with Sandra Luegge, your Relocation Advisor, she provided you with a pamphlet
entitled"Relocation Assistance for Homeowners". Please read the pamphlet carefully. It explains
your rights and some things you must do to obtain relocation payments. For example,to receive a
replacement housing payment either for purchase or rent, you must purchase or rent a decent, safe and
sanitary home within one year after you move or receive your final acquisition payment, if later.
Please don't commit to buying or renting a replacement home before you have discussed the home
with Sandra, because she will need to perform the required decent, safe, and sanitary relocation
inspection of the home.
If you have any questions regarding this letter or your relocation benefits and procedures, please call
Ms. Luegge. She can be reached by phone at(612) 566-1036 or by writing to her at Evergreen Land
Services, 6200 Shingle Creek Parkway, Suite 415, Brooklyn Center, MN 55430.
Remember, do not move before Sandra has had a chance to meet with you to discuss your eligibility
for relocation assistance and review your present and replacement homes. Please note also that
Sandra will need timely advance notice of your move plans.
This letter is of importance to you and it should be carefully filed for safekeeping.
Sincerely,
Michael Ulrich
Director of Public Works
City of Mounds View
