PUBLIC SERVICE PROGRAM <br /> Business Retention and Recruitment <br /> Program Function and Service Standards <br /> This program is responsible for the City's economic development and redevelopment activities. Under <br /> Business Retention and Recruitment, there will be continued assistance in the stimulation of business <br /> growth and diversification. This will be accomplished through the exploration and expansion of funding <br /> mechanisms which support and sustain quality job opportunities for the residents of Mounds View. <br /> PROGRAM OBJECTIVES ARE TO: <br /> • Explore financial possibilities and educate local businesses about funding mechanisms available <br /> for business expansion and attraction; <br /> • Coordinate redevelopment activities in relation to the City's main corridors; <br /> • Develop positive relationships with local businesses and act as the City liaison for these <br /> businesses; <br /> • Manage development funds and be an advocate of legislation regarding the use of these <br /> development funds; and <br /> • Respond and actively initiate proposals to attract and retain quality businesses. <br /> BUDGET IMPACT <br /> Personnel: <br /> Personnel in this program consist of the following: <br /> • Economic Development Coordinator <br /> • Personnel Coordinator <br /> • Finance Director <br /> • City Administrator • <br />
