Tax increment financing Economic District 1-3 located in Mounds View does not <br /> share its growth in commercial-industrial property tax values. This results in an <br /> increase in property taxes for other properties locating in Mounds View. For <br /> taxes payable in 1995, this increase in taxes on other properties amounted to <br /> $138,034. As a result of the development that has occurred in tax increment <br /> districts 1-3 in Mounds View, $1,564,141 net tax capacity was generated for taxes <br /> payable in 1995. " <br /> • I have finally been able to contact the Director for Head Start and we will be meeting next <br /> week to see if they are interested in space in the Bel-Rae. <br /> Cathy <br /> • Thursday, June 21, 1996 I attend a City Employee Training Advisory Committee <br /> Meeting, which discussed City employee training programs offered through The Century <br /> College Continuing Education Department(formerly Lakewood Community College). <br /> The two programs offered are the Management Certificate Program and All Staff <br /> Training Programs. This program has been in existence for two years. The comments <br /> from surronding cities which have participated in the programs are very positive. <br /> • The City received an adequate pool of candidates for the recepionist position. Interviews <br /> are schedule for Thursday, June 27, 1996. Staff is anxiously awaiting the hire of a <br /> receptionist. <br /> • Lynnette <br /> PARKS RECREATION AND FORESTRY <br /> PARKS: <br /> • Mowing continues as a daily activity. Park grass was sprayed for dandelions and other <br /> broad leaf weeds at the end of last week. Many park rentals and picnic reservations require <br /> daily cleaning. The siding on the south side of Hillview Park building is being replaced. <br /> Benches were installed at Edgewood Middle School softball fields (in the back of the <br /> school). Steve along with Mary and Mary attended a meeting with MVAA representatives <br /> working on the committee hosting the AAU Regional Baseball Tournament at Silver View <br /> Park June 28, 29 and 30 to plan field maintenance and park use during that weekend. This <br /> event is always a popular entertainment activity and brings in many people throughout the <br /> weekend to our fair city. <br />
