Mounds View Planning Commission June 5, 1996 <br /> Regular Meeting Page 9411 <br /> Acting Director Pruitt, noted that this item was <br /> discussed at the Planning Commissions May <br /> 15th agenda meeting. She informed the <br /> Commission that she contacted Attorney Long <br /> to discuss clarification of the provision of <br /> Subdivision 3 of the proposed foster care <br /> ordinance which has been clarified to read, <br /> shall be allowed as permitted uses to <br /> serve not more than eight children per home, <br /> not including the foster family's own children." Motion Carried <br /> Motion/Second: Brasaemle/Brooks to approve <br /> Resolution No. 452-96 recommending an <br /> ordinance amendment to Chapter 1106, <br /> Section 1106.02 entitled, R-1, Single Family <br /> Residential District, pertaining to foster care <br /> facilities. 9. Consideration of <br /> Resolution No. <br /> 6 ayes 0 nays 452-96 Regarding an . <br /> Ordinance <br /> Amendment to <br /> Acting Director Pruitt reviewed proposed Chapter 1106 <br /> Resolution No. 453-96 in support of the Pertaining to Foster <br /> Capacity Building Grant application offered by Care Facilities <br /> the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency <br /> (MHFA) to assist agencies to more effectively <br /> address the housing needs of their community. <br /> She noted that the grant funds may be used for <br /> studies and analysis, staff training, and legal <br /> and professional services. She also mentioned <br /> that the National Development Council, who <br /> trains most housing officials and has an <br /> excellent reputation, offers a three-week <br /> training course in housing development and <br /> finance and that the City will be applying for the Motion Carried <br /> grant for Housing Inspector Jennifer Bergman <br /> to attend. She noted that the maximum grant <br /> amount is $10,000 and she anticipates asking 10. Consideration of <br /> MHFA for $5,000 or less depending upon the Resolution No. <br /> cost of the training. 453-96 Supporting <br /> Building Grant . <br /> Application Offered <br />
