X Explanation/Summary(attach supplement sheets as necessary) Summary: Staff met with representatives from the Rice Creek Watershed District, Army Corp. of Engineers and SEH last week to discuss what options are available for the City to consider in the possibility of redesigning the wetland and storm water detention pond located on the Midland Videen Property. Initial comments from the controlling agencies is that the wetland is functioning very well and it is possible that any redesigning would not guarantee any available mitigation bank. Since this issue was one of the prospects for the property it would appear that the purchase thereof is not as urgent or worthwhile. The issue of the appraisal without consideration of the two permanent easements has not prompted much if Sany negotiations with the owner. Accompanying this report,is a summary of the details of the earlier meeting` `` from Rocky Keene of SEH. Staff would request that this item be scheduled for further discussion at the June iiouncil Work session. Rocky will prepare a proposal for Council's consideration to design plans for submittal the governing agencies for their review and possible approval, should Council wish to proceed with this project.
