CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 573 <br /> AN ORDINANCE ADDIN SECTION 302.01 Subdivision 3c., BACKGROUND <br /> INVESTIGATIONS, OF THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW. <br /> THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Chapter 3, Personnel, is hereby amended to read (added portions are underscored and <br /> deleted portions are shown in brackets): <br /> Sec. 302.01, Subd. 3c. Criminal History Background Check. <br /> The Police Department is authorized to conduct a criminal history background investigation <br /> on applicants for positions with the City, as provided by this section. This section applies <br /> only to applicants who are finalists for paid or volunteer positions with the City, where the <br /> Clerk-Administrator has determined that conviction of a crime may relate directly to the <br /> position sought. The Police Department may not perform a background investigation unless <br /> the applicant consents in writing to the investigation and to the release of the investigation <br /> information to the Clerk-Administjator and other City staff as is appropriate. An applicant's <br /> failure to provide consent may disqualify the applicant for the position sought. In <br /> 411 <br /> administering this section, the City will comply with Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 364, as <br /> may be applicable. <br /> INTRODUCED AND READ in full this twelfth day of February, 1996. <br /> PASSED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View this twenty-sixth day of February, 1996. <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Mayor <br /> SEAL: - - - <br /> Interim City Administrator <br /> Approved As to Form: <br /> City Attorney <br /> 4110 <br />
