EL <br /> Marketing: • <br /> and presented a <br /> The seven member resident business marketing task forceprepared <br /> Marketing Plan to the Council in April of 1995. The plan was approved and the task <br /> force was charged with implementing programs in the plan in the remainder of 95 <br /> through 96. The City applied and was awarded a grant from Northern States Power <br /> for $2,500 to assist in the implementation of the marketing plan. <br /> As part of the implementation of the program, Mounds View embraced and marketed <br /> a new image statement "Pride, Progress and Partnerships". The image statement was <br /> updated on all new City supplies in 1995. In addition, <br /> T-shirts were designed and are <br /> being sold to raise funds for implementation of Mounds View's Marketing Plan. <br /> The task force researched the possibility of producing and hanging banners along the <br /> major thorough fares in Mounds View which resulted in the approval of purchasing <br /> 20 banners. The banners will be hung on County Road I, Long Lake Road and <br /> Edgewood Drive in the spring of 1996. <br /> To highlight the positive developments in Mounds View, 3 press releases were <br /> prepared and weekly contact with local media was pursued resulting in 16 articles on <br /> positive activities in Mounds View. <br /> • To market the economic development opportunities in Mounds View to a variety of <br /> public and private representatives, the City participated in 28 conferences, seminars <br /> and trade shows throughout the year. <br /> • 3 <br />
