Only one <br /> printer, Nystrom Publishing, submitted a bid. Nystrom Publishing has been printing the Mounds <br /> View Matters brochure for the last six years and they have done an excellent job. <br /> 1 <br /> Nystrom's bid (see attached) for printing the six 36 page regular Mounds View Matters is $86.90 <br /> per page for 5,200 copies. For printing the optional "Special" newsletters, which are generally <br /> eight pages or less, the cost would be $135.36 per page for 5,200 copies. There is usually at least <br /> one special newsletter each year, specifically the Budget newsletter and occasionally an additional <br /> special newsletter such as the Water Meter Newsletter that was published in 1995. The cost is <br /> approximately $4.00 per page higher than 1995. <br /> 411/ <br /> Nystrom Publishing specializes in printing newsletters for municipalities and is consequently set <br /> up for this operation. Because of the specialization, their bids have been consistently lower than <br /> any other printer over the past six years. Even though we received only one bid, the possibility <br /> of finding a printer with their quality at a lower price is probably not feasible. Therefore, I am <br /> asking that the Council consider accepting Nystrom Publishing's bid for the 1996 newsletter <br /> printing. <br /> --- -2) <br /> Sharie Linke.
