Resolution 8592, Approving the 2017-2020 Ramsey County Elections 7 <br />Agreement. 8 <br /> 9 <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane requested the Council approve the 2017 through 2020 10 <br />Ramsey County Elections Agreement. She discussed how the 2020 Presidential primary would 11 <br />be covered. She described the management services Ramsey County provides to the City and 12 <br />recommended approval of the agreement. 13 <br /> 14 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Meehlhause. Resolution 8593, Authorization to Advertise and Create an Eligibility List to 20 <br />Initiate the Police Officer Hiring Process. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane stated Police Officer Daniel Stone recently resigned his 23 <br />position with the City of Mounds View. She stated on May 31, 2016 the Police Civil Service 24 <br />Commission approved the process of hiring a police officer for the position and the establishment 25 <br />of a new eligibility list. Staff recommended the Council authorize to advertise and create an 26 <br />eligibility list to initiate the Police Officer hiring process. 27 <br /> 28 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Mueller. Introduction and First Reading of Ordinance 921, an Ordinance Opting Out 35 <br />of the requirements of Minnesota State Statute 462.3593, which Defines and 36 <br />Regulates Temporary Family Health Care Dwellings. 37 <br /> 38 <br />City Administrator Ericson requested the Council introduce an Ordinance that would opt out of 39 <br />the requirements of Minnesota State Statute 462.3593 which defines and regulates temporary 40 <br />family health care dwellings. He explained the Governor had recently signed into law the 41 <br />legislation that allows temporary dwellings for family members with a health or mental condition 42 <br />to be located on a property for six to twelve months. After discussing this matter at a prior 43 <br />meeting, the Council was not interested in allowing these temporary health care dwellings in the 44 <br />City of Mounds View. It was noted the Second Reading for Ordinance 921 would be held on 45 <br />June 27th. 46
