Resolution 8627, Approving the Hire of Margaret Hicks to the Position of 16 <br />Police Records/Evidence Technician. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane requested the Council approve the hire of Margaret Hicks to 19 <br />the position of Police Records/Evidence Technician. She explained this position would be 20 <br />vacant after the retirement of Kathy Bittner on September 30th. She noted the Police Civil Service 21 <br />Commission discussed this matter and supported the hiring process. She commented further on 22 <br />the hiring process that was followed by staff and recommended the hiring of Margaret Hicks. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Council Member Meehlhause asked if Ms. Hicks had prior experience. Assistant City 25 <br />Administrator Crane reported Ms. Hicks had extensive experience. Police Chief Harder 26 <br />explained Ms. Hicks was familiar with the Zeurcher system which would be of great help to the 27 <br />City of Mounds View. 28 <br /> 29 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Meehlhause. Resolution 8617, Authorizing the Sending of a Notice of Termination of 35 <br />Lease to Creative Kids Academy – Mounds View, Inc. 36 <br /> 37 <br />City Administrator Ericson stated this item was before the Council previously in August. He 38 <br />explained the matter was tabled and action was being requested this evening. He noted the 39 <br />owners of Creative Kids Academy were in attendance to address the Council. He explained 40 <br />Creative Kids Academy has been in operation at the Community Center since 2009. He reported 41 <br />it has been the City’s goal to have non-profit, government essential services within the 42 <br />Community Center. However, when the original tenant moved out the community wanted 43 <br />another childcare option. 44 <br /> 45
