<br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8652 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING THE HIRING OF MILES WAKUMOTO <br />TO THE POSITION OF POLICE OFFICER <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the establishment of an eligibility list for <br />the position of Police Officer for current vacancies in the Police Department, and the <br />Police Civil Service Commission has approved the procedures for establishing an eligibility <br />register to fill these vacancies, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the approved hiring procedures consist of a competitive written <br />examination, training and experience scoring, oral interviews, physical agility testing, a <br />thorough background investigation, physical examination and a psychological examination <br />and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Civil Service Commission has certified the eligibility list for the <br />opening, and Miles Wakumoto is the top candidate standing on the eligibility register, and <br />his background investigation, physical, psychological, and physical agility testing have all <br />been successfully completed, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff of the Police Department has met with Miles Wakumoto, and the <br />Chief of Police recommends that he be appointed to the position of Police Officer. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota does hereby appoint Miles Wakumoto to the position of <br />Police Officer effective November 15, 2016 at the step one rate of pay ($22.63/hr) as <br />indicated in the Law Enforcement Labor Services contract. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 24th day of October, 2016. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: ____________________________________ <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />(seal) <br /> <br /> <br />
