RESOLUTION NO. 8649 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING SEVERANCE PAYMENT TO <br />PROJECT COORDINATOR BRANDON STENGLEIN <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Brandon Stenglein submitted his resignation and his last day of employment <br />was October 7, 2016; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused sick leave time is 91.63 hours; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused vacation is 79.28 hours; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Brandon Stenglein’s current rate of pay is $28.91 per hour; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 3.45 of the Mounds View Personnel Manual, the <br />maximum potential payout of accrued/unused sick time will be 91.63 hours x 50% x his hourly rate of <br />$28.91 = $1,324.66 into Brandon Stenglein’s Retirement Health Savings Plan (RHSP); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 3.45(c) of the Mounds View Personnel Manual, the <br />maximum potential payout of accrued/unused vacation time will be 79.28 hours x 50% x his hourly <br />rate of $28.91= $1,145.99 into Brandon Stenglein’s RHSP; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 3.47 of the Mounds View Personnel Manual, the <br />maximum potential cash payout of the remaining balance of Mr. Stenglein’s accrued/unused <br />vacation time will be 79.28 hours x 50% x his hourly rate of $28.91 = $1,145.99; and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council approves a one- <br />time payout of sick time and vacation time not to exceed $2,470.65 into Brandon Stenglein’s RHSP <br />in accordance with the Mounds View Personnel Manual. <br /> <br /> NOW, BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council approves a <br />one-time cash payout of vacation not to exceed $1,145.99 in accordance with the Mounds View <br />Personnel Manual. <br /> <br />Adopted this 24th day of October, 2016. <br /> <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br />(seal) <br /> <br />
